Start getting medicines together.....we ordered a pediatric medical kit that had common prescription medications that could possibly be needed....amoxicillin, pink eye stuff, scabies stuff, etc. I can send you the website if you need. Lots of times doctors will just prescribe it for you. For us, the cost of the doctor visit plus the cost of the co-pays for the medicines made it worthwhile to just order the kits.
We bought a vacuum sealer thing and sucked the air out of lots of things we packed for the trip there. Suitcases are cheap once you get there and you can buy an extra suitcase if you need.
GET LUGGAGE STRAPS! You will be so glad you have them. Even though we had pretty new luggage, we had a zipper break on the way there and were so glad that the suitcase was strapped securely.
We are about to embark on a journey of a lifetime. Our precious daughter, Lily, is waiting for us in an orphanage in rural China. This blog will be used to document our travel. We covet your prayers during our journey.
