Hu tong tour

Oh, be still my heart...I am in love with China. I love every single thing about it. I love the people, I love the smells, I love the history. I am totally, completely in love.

This morning, we met our incredible guide Helen. I really want her to come home with me. She is just like a sister. We planned our week together. I am now in a coffee shop in the middle of rural Beijing. We just finished the hu tong tour. We rode on this rickshaw and we were invited inside the home of a sweet family. Oh, so much history....the families are so close. The lady asked me and Carlton to come and live with her! Precious. Oh, I truly love the people here.

In just a few minutes, we are going to the Silk Market. Ooooohhh cant wait!!! We have a very busy day planned and I don't have time to get into all the details of all the incredible things we are learning. I just know this...God is so big. He is not just the God of the US, but He is the GOd of all nations. THere is such a big world out there. This world is just so big. I keep singing that song from PBS... "Its a big world, its a big, big world" I know, of all the songs to be singing....but hey, I listen to it every morning when my kids are having breakfast.

But, really, there is just so much world out there. God is teaching me so much....and oh me, I have only been here 24 hours.

Thank you for your comments. They are awesome.

If you would like to call, we are at Park Palace Wangfujing Room 504, A good time is at night, between 8-10pm. That would be around 8:00am your time.

I love you all.

I still cannot believe I am in China!!!! Is this for real???????

God has blessed us with 6 precious children and sometimes I just sit and say "why me". to be so blessed. I can't wait until Lily is in your sweet arms.

Hi Aimee - We haven't met but I'm on the Shanxi yahoo group and saw your posts about traveling to China so I am following your journey! Our daughter is also in Shanxi, in Jiaocheng (we are waiting for our RA/LOA). I am taking everything in that you are doing - especially when you get to Taiyuan! I am so excited for you! God bless - Chanda

Hey! I am so proud of you for stepping out with the "Hot Pot".I must say it did not look appetizing at all! I also glad you sent pictures of "old People" having fun....I hate Aaron and I aren't there to enjoy our fellow "old people"!!! It looks freezing inside and out, but ya'll look like you are having the time of your lives. I am so glad all is going well. Praise God for what He is doing and for bringing Lily into our lives! Please call soon on Skype!

Thinking of, praying for, and loving you,
Debbie
